Shielded Terminal Board+
Reduce noise & provide proper grounds for NI DAQ E & M series DAQ

The Bauer Shielded Terminal Board (STB 100+) terminates single-ended or differential analog signals. Designed for use with the National Instruments® PCI-6071E Data Acquisition Board or M- series boards*, the STB 100+ reduces signal noise by grounding shielded cables to the proper reference. This board uses shorter signal lead than boards that ground shielded signals to other physical locations, and it includes built-in suppression networks to reduce noise at higher frequencies.

Solenoid Driver Backplane
Signal isolation, driver cards, speed & signal conditioning PCB’s & connectors can be custom designed.

The Bauer Solenoid Driver Backplane is an externally-mounted assembly that can accomodate up to 12 Bauer Solenoid Driver Boards. The backplane routes solenoid and pulse width modulation (PWM) signals from the driver boards to the computer. Together, the driver boards and the backplane form the Solenoid Driver Board Rack Assembly.

Solenoid Driver Boards
For when you need solenoid current feedback to the computer.

The Bauer Solenoid Driver Board is an external ATE board that amplifies solenoid control signals and controls pulse width modulation (PWM). The Driver Board can operate in digital or analog mode. In digital mode, the board controls solenoids by amplifying digital input signals. In analog mode, it outputs a PWM PIC signal proportional to an analog input voltage.

The Bauer Solenoid Driver Board is the only solenoid driver that can provide solenoid current feedback to the computer. Also unique to the Driver Board is the on-board PIC processor, which creates a carrier frequency for PWM controlled by external voltage.

Opto Speed Boards
Assists the NI FPGA board in speed measurement & digital I/O commands, and provides opto-isolation.

The Bauer Opto Speed Measurement Board (Opto Board) assists the National Instruments® FPGA Board in speed measurement and digital I/O commands. This low cost external ATE interface board converts variable reluctance input signals to digital signals and supplies opto isolation. The Opto Board provides up to five speed sensor modules and eight digital outputs. Two Opto Boards can be connected to the FPGA Board to increase the number of input and output channels.

Quadrature Input Conditioner
Isolates quadrature inputs to NI FPGA boards.

The Bauer Quadrature Input Conditioner isolates quadrature input signals from the National Instruments FPGA Board. This daughter board plugs into the Bauer Opto Speed Measurement Board and provides two channels for A and B quadrature inputs. Each input is jumper- selectable for single-ended or differential mode. The Quadrature Input Conditioner accepts rates up to 500 kHz.

Variable Reluctance Conditioner
Designed for reluctance sensors that generate high voltage pulses. Isolates signals from the NI FPGA board, and hysteresis to eliminate false toggling.

The Bauer Variable Reluctance Conditioner isolates variable reluctance signals from the National Instruments FPGA Board. This two-channel daughter board plugs into the Bauer Opto Speed Measurement Board and accepts voltages of up to 200 volts AC. The Variable Reluctance Conditioner also provides hysteresis to eliminate false toggling inputs at zero RPM.

2 Wire Hall Effect Conditioner
Isolates current-mode hall effect sensors from the NI FPGA board, and provides hysteresis to eliminate false toggling.

The Bauer Two-Wire Hall Effect Conditioner Board isolates input signals to the National Instruments FPGA Board from current-mode Hall effect sensors. This two-channel daughter board plugs into the Bauer Opto Speed Measurement Board and accepts voltages of up to 12 volts DC. The Hall Effect Conditioner also provides hysteresis to eliminate false toggling inputs at zero RPM.
