Electrical Engineer
Design and Develop high end automation systems for the automotive industry.

We are engaged in some interesting new opportunities and are seeking a person with strong electrical skills. Prime candidates will enjoy the engineering challenge of designing, installing and debugging PC based control systems to operate and monitor engine and transmission manufacturing test stands in the automotive industry.

 

Responsibilities for the position include:

 
  • Design, test and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits
  • Locate and minimize electrical noise in test stands and occasional EMI/EMC qualification testing
  • Interface with and write object oriented software programs using Bauer proprietary software
  • Utilize AutoCad to develop DAQ panel layout, controls and electrical schematics
  • Create project BOMs, listing all designed-in components
  • Travel to customer locations throughout the world to perform troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting of fully integrated control systems
  • Field installation support and design modifications of integrated systems
  • Train equipment operators and maintenance staff on system operation and service
  • Assisting other Project Engineers on their projects
 

Education/Experience Requirements:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical design experience
  • Three years of proven experience in a production environment
  • Desire to travel up to 50% including international trips
  • Ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of US, Canadian, European and Asian electrical standards preferred
  • Experience with analog measurement systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Test Engineer / Project Manager
Develop integrated software & hardware solutions in cutting edge applications.

This position is for a person to develop, integrate, and debug application level software (which includes the user interface, machine control, and test routines) for a machine that tests a manufacturer’s assembled product. We specialize in production test applications for powertrain assemblies such as engines, transmissions and their subassemblies. We work directly with manufacturers and their tier 1 suppliers in new product technologies and development.

 

You will be responsible for managing, scheduling, negotiating and fulfilling commitments for project related tasks that include: software and hardware specification, checkout and install of the software at both the machine builder and customer’s facility as well as conducting the operator, maintenance, and engineering training.

 

Travel is required. The amount of travel depends on the location of the machine builder and customer plant. Our customers and machine builders are located throughout the United States and in other countries such as Mexico, Brazil, China, South Korea, Thailand, Japan and India.

 

Requirements for the position include:

 
  • A basic knowledge of electrical systems
  • Two years of programming experience
  • Organization and management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field
  • Project Management experience is desired
  • NVH experience is a plus
